CURD, Rupert Philip: May 7, 2019

On May 7, 2019. Passed away peacefully at “Wattslea” surrounded by his family. Aged 64 years. Much cherished and beloved husband of Sandra. Loved and respected Dad of Chris, and Rachel and father in law of Riley and beloved Pop of Jane and Sam. A service to celebrate Rupert’s life will be held at the Hotel Ashburton, Racecourse Road, on Monday May 13, commencing at 1.00pm. Followed by interment at the Ashburton New Lawn Cemetery.

passed away at Rosebank Resthome, Ashburton, on Saturday, April 27 2019. Loved wife of the late Alf Beckham. Mother of Grant and Dallas Poultney and respected stepmother of John Beckham. Passed away peacefully at Christchurch Hospital.  Dearly loved wife of Laurence (Laurie). SIMMONS, Deidre Marie: (Dee) (nee Rodgers) April 27, 2019

On April 27, 2019. Died peacefully surrounded by her loving family after a brave struggle, at Ashburton Hospital, aged 70. Dearly loved wife and best mate of Tom for 47 years, amazingly loving and devoted mother and mother-in-law of Jan and Greg White, Mark and Phillipa, Brad and Emma. Fun-loving Gran-Dee to Emily, Thomas, Grace, James, Chloe and Oliver, who she adored and was so proud of. Loved daughter of the late Margaret and Henry Rodgers of Dunedin. A Mass to celebrate Dee’s life will be held on Thursday May 2, at The Holy Name Church, Sealy St, Ashburton, commencing at 11.00am, followed by private interment. Dee has asked people to wear her favourite colour red. A Recitation of the Rosary will be held at our Chapel, Cnr East and Cox Streets Ashburton on Wednesday commencing at 7 pm.

ELLIS,Elsie Jane: (nee McDowell) April 26, 2019

On April 26, 2019, passed away peacefully at Coldstream Resthome, in her 88th year. Dearly loved and cherished wife of Bert for 65 years. Loved mum to Maree and Bill Pickering, Lynne and Nick Bensdorp, special Nana to Andrea and Atu, Hayden and Miriam, and adored great grandmother of Amelia, Jacob, and Naomi.
