Paterson’s Funeral Services

Paterson's Funeral Services AshburtonPaterson’s Funeral Services has been locally owned for over 35 years by Roger and Pauline Paterson. Now in association with Lamb & Hayward, the funeral home remains Canterbury owned, and continues to be locally operated with those same familiar faces that have been caring for our local community over many years.

The Chapel and premises are conveniently situated on the main street of Ashburton, corner of Cox and East Streets which makes this a very central location for the Ashburton community.

Paterson’s Funeral Services Chapel accommodates 130 people, with an adjoining area providing audio visual facilities that seats a further 100. We have experienced staff and equipment to support families that choose to use an alternative venue such as a local Church, Sports Club, or even a private residence.

The funeral home provides an attractive air conditioned Reception Lounge that opens to an outside garden area. Our friendly catering staff will ensure all your needs are met as you gather with family and friends, either in our premises or off site.

A Christmas to Remember 2017

We would like to invite you and your extended family and friends to join us in A Christmas to Remember. Together we will share a commemorative time and celebrate Christmas.

Thursday 14 December, 7.00pm
Paterson’s Chapel, Corner East & Cox Streets

You may wish to light a candle to symbolise a life still significant, and there will be an opportunity to write a personal message on an angel card to place on our tree.

Light refreshments will be served.

Christmas can mean anticipation for family and friends for years ahead when there has been a bereavement. Christmas can be a difficult time, and somehow, no matter how hard you try, the lights just do not sparkle as brightly.

As we rebuild, sometimes we find ourselves catching a moment, or a day, or even a week, when things are looking up. But still deep within we silently hold the hurt.

Christmas takes on many different meanings. Amid the excitement and festivities there is also a time for remembering. We feel close to our loved ones in a way that is special and unique.
