unexpectedly at Ashburton Hospital, aged 71 years.  Loving Mother of Richard (UK), and Scott and partners. Devoted Nona of Talen. In his 81st year and after a short illness. John left the home he loved and died peacefully on 21 May, 2022 at Nurse Maude Hospice, Christchurch, with Jill beside him. In a loving marriage John and Jill shared life for 52 years. Family life embraced the love of daughters Lucy and Penny with partner Simon and treasured grandchildren Cameron, Zoe and Hollie. Loved brother/brother-in-law of Peter and Avis Meredith, Ruth and Errol Wood, Ainslie and Phil Lee. Messages to the Meredith family, PO Box 472 Ashburton 774, and no flowers by request. 15.10.1940 – 12.5.2022. Brian passed away peacefully in Ashburton Hospital leaving behind his beloved cat Minty. Father of Janice & David in Australia, and Ricky, Tony, Megan, Angel Rae & Mandy (dec.) in New Zealand.  Many thanks to the doctors, nurses and other staff at Ashburton Hospital, to the District Nurses & other district health & domestic services, and to Moore Street Medical Centre & St John Ambulance – you all took such great care of Brian.
