CHURCH Gordon William (Gordy)

on April 6, 2026, peacefully at Rosebank Lifecare, Ashburton, aged 81 years.  Dearly loved son of the late Bill and May Church. Loved brother of the late Morris, Joan, Ray, Mona, Margaret, Renee ,Dolly, Archie, and a special soulmate of Dolly.  Special uncle of Trevor, Margaret, the late Bill, and Ian (Stumpy). BLAIN Anthony John Robert (Tony)

Passed away peacefully at Ashburton Hospital on Sunday April 5, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, aged 85 years.  Dearly loved husband and best friend of Annette, together for 63 years.  Much loved father and father in law of Cheryll and Philip Kerrigan (Christchurch), Glenda and Kevin Donaldson, Leanne and Murray Holmes, Amanda and Chris Pannett, and Anthony and Joanne(USA). Adored grandfather of his 16 grandchildren and their partners, and great-grandfather to his 8 great-grandchildren. Messages to the Blain family, P O Box 472, Ashburton 7740. Sincere thanks to Dr Diane Young of Three Rivers and the caring and professional staff of Ward 1, Ashburton Hospital.  Tony will be dearly missed and remembered by his family and friends.  A service to celebrate Tony’s life will be held at St David’s Union Church. Allens Road, Ashburton on Friday April 10, commencing at 1.00pm, followed by a private family interment.

MILMINE, Margaret Catherine 

On March 31, 2026, peacefully at Terrace View Retirement Village, Ashburton, aged 87 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Alan. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Greg and Leigh, Paul and Nicki, and Mark and Nicky. Loving Nana of Ben and Will; Tim and Matt; Mickayla and Molly; and great Nana of all her great-grandchildren. Special thanks to all the staff at Terrace View and Eastfield Health for their love and care of Margaret. We, as a family, will always be grateful. MILES John Trevor

passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 25,2026,  aged 82 years.  Loved son of Jack and Anne, brother of Raymond (Ray), and Ngaire (all dcd) .  Loved uncle of Kenneth, Alastair, and Hamish Miles.  Brother in law of Patrica Corbett, and great uncle of his nephews and nieces. WHITING Kathleen “Aine” (née McKay)

WHITE Jeffrey Charles (Jeff)

On March 24, 2026, peacefully in Ashburton, aged 69 years. Much loved husband of Robyn. Dearly loved father and father in law of Anna and Cole Harris, Johnny and Fenella, and Thomas and Jess, and special Grandpa ‘Bear’ of Isabella, and Holly, Penelope and Rory.  On March 14, 2026, peacefully at Diana Isaac Retirement Village. Dearly loved wife of the late John (Jack). Loved and loving mother and mother-in-law of Kevin and Joanne, Mary and Neville, Michael and Laurie, and Brendan and Michelle. Dearly loved grandmother of Rebecca, Mathew, Emma and Ben; Daniel and Hamish; James and Erika; and Connie, Oliver and Lily. Loved great-grandmother of her 16 great-grandchildren. Passed away peacefully at Rosebank Lifecare, with his family by his side, aged 90 years.  Dearly loved husband of Shirley.  Much loved father and father in law of Wayne and Sheila (England), and Philip and Anthea.  Treasured Grandad of Alex, Callum, and Mark; and Brook, and Kade and great-Grandad of Logan, and Harley.  A special thanks to the staff at Rosebank for their loving care of Geordie.
