It is with heavy hearts that we sadly announce Merv’s passing, peacefully at Rosebank Lifecare, Ashburton on Monday November 2, 2026, in his 87th year. Much loved and cherished husband of Lily for 63 years. Respected and loved father and father-in-law of Sandra and Ian Macaskill (Wellington), Michelle and Daryl Holden, Rob and Katrina Gray. Merv’s funeral will take place at Trotts Garden, Racecourse Rd, Ashburton on Monday, November 9, commencing at 1.30pm, followed by private cremation at the Ashburton Crematorium.
