MELLISH, Murray John – On June 18, 2016 after a short conflict with cancer, died peacefully at home, in Rakaia, encircled by ‘his three girls’. Aged 75 years. Cherished husband of Sylvia for 48 years. Treasured father to Karen & Donna, and Father in Law of Phil. Adored Pop (Woppy) of Ariana and Noah. Special thanks to the Ashburton District Nurses and the Palliative Care team for their wonderful care of Murray, and support of his family. Any donations can be left at the service to the Ashburton District Nurses & Palliative Care team. A service to celebrate Murray’s life will be held at the Rakaia Community Centre, Elizabeth Avenue, Rakaia on WEDNESDAY June 22, commencing at 1:30pm. Followed by internment at the Rakaia Cemetery.
