On Thursday October 4, 2018. Passed away peacefully after a short illness at Essie Summers Retirement Home in Christchurch. Aged 94 years. Loved husband of the late Joan. Loved father and father in law of Tony and Judi, Mike, Kevin and Ally, Garry and Ali, Jo and Jerry, and Brian. Beloved grandfather to Hayley, Kurt, Todd, Aimee, Scott, Kimberley, Jordan Charlotte, Ryan, Catherine, and Zac and loved Poppa to all his great grandchildren. A funeral service for Des will be held at the Church of the Holy Name, Sealy Street, Ashburton on Tuesday October 9, commencing at 11.00am. Followed by interment at the Ashburton New Lawn Cemetery.
