With broken hearts we said goodbye to Peter, who passed peacefully surrounded by his family in the care of Tuarangi Home, Ashburton on Wednesday November  12^th, 2025, aged 92.  Dearly loved husband, best friend and soul mate of Gwenda (Rosebank) for 69 years.  Treasured father and father in law of Doug and Maree, Geoff and Sandra, Jeanette and Chris Price, Ian and Cindy, and Maree and Peter MacLean.  Beloved Pop of his 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.  Loved brother of Ann and Hugh Denys (dec), Margaret (dec) and Murray Eder, and Beverly and Leo (dec) McGlead.  Special uncle of his nieces and nephews.  Messages to the Ireland family, P O Box 472, Ashburton 7740.  We would like to thank Dr Malcolm Wootton for his care and compassion for Dad.  We acknowledge the wonderful staff in AAU and Ward’s 1 and 2, Ashburton Hospital who cared for him so compassionately.  We also thank the staff at Rosebank Resthome, Princes Court, and Tuarangi Home for their loving care of Peter, and thank you to the obliging staff at Netherby Pharmacy. ‘Peace at Last’
