peacefully at home, aged 93 years.  Dearly loved and devoted husband of Elspeth (Elma) for 68 years.  Much loved and respected father and father in law of Heather and Noel Kirkwood (Auckland), Robert and Jenny Hobson (Hawkes Bay), Elspeth Hobson and Jonathan Macleod (Sydney), and Trevor and Andrea Hobson (Te Pirita).  Special ‘Grandad George’ of Henry, Lucy, and Angus Kirkwood; Sarah, Ben, and William Hobson; Fergus, and Roderick Macleod; Thomas, Edward, Samuel, and Albert Hobson, and great Grandad of Indi, Freya, Allie, and Jack Hobson, Isabel Hobson, and Eden Hobson.
