On July 29, 2025, peacefully at the Bellevue in Christchurch, aged 97 years. Dearly loved by her late husband George. Loved and adored mother and mother in law to Heather and Noel Kirkwood ( Auckland), Robert and Jenny Hobson ( Hawkes Bay), Elspeth Hobson and Jonathan Macleod ( Sydney) and Trevor and Andrea Hobson ( Te Pirita). Very special Granny to Henry and Monique, Lucy, Angus and Kim, Sarah and Ronan, Ben and Mel,  William  and Heidi, Fergus and Mali and Roderick, Thomas and Chloe, Edward and Kate, Samuel and Ella, Albert and Maddy .Great grandmother to Indi, Freya, Allie and Jack, Isabel and James, Eden and Max, Logan, Wilbur and Florence Much loved sister of Nancy Callaghan, the late Shirley  Quantock and  brothers Nix and Max  Buick.
