In his 81^st year and after a short illness. John left the home he loved and died peacefully on 21 May, 2022 at Nurse Maude Hospice, Christchurch, with Jill beside him. In a loving marriage John and Jill shared life for 52 years. Family life embraced the love of daughters Lucy and Penny with partner Simon and treasured grandchildren Cameron, Zoe and Hollie.
