On January 3, 2020, at McKenzie HealthCare, Geraldine, aged 94 years. Dearly loved husband for 69 years of June.  Loved father and father in law of Marie and Malcolm Lill, Graeme and Sue, Sandra Totty and Peter Stephenson, Rodger and Sheryn. Loved Grandad and Great Grandad Ken of his 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate Ken’s life will be held at St Andrew’s Church, Cox Street Geraldine on Monday 13th January 2020 commencing at 2.30pm. In lieu of flowers donations to St John Geraldine would be appreciated and maybe left at the service.

On January 6, 2020. Peacefully at Ashburton Hospital. In her 89th year. Loved wife of the late John (Jack) Thyne. Loved and adored mother of Mary-Anne and son in law of A J Kerr. Loved sister and sister in law of the late Kaycey, the late Phyllis Andrews, the late Betty and Graham Roberts, Joan and the late Jim Owens and the late Brian (Gina) and Shirley Mansfield. Suddenly at his home, Methven.,  Aged 67 years. HARNETT, Anthony Francis: (Tony) December 23, 2019

On December 23, 2019, peacefully in his sleep at Tuarangi Home, Ashburton. Aged 84 years. Dearly beloved husband of Marie for 57 years. Loved father and father in law of Robert and Jane, Belinda and Joe and the late Randall, Jack and Helen and Rebecca and Richie. Taken too soon, peacefully at Ashburton Hospital on Sunday December 22, 2019, aged 35 years. Dearly loved and cherished wife of Hamish. Much loved and devoted Mum of Holly and Ryan. IVISON, John Wesley: 8.1.1932 – 16.12.2019

John passed away peacefully at Ashburton Hospital on Monday evening. A devoted husband, best friend and soul mate to Ruth. Much loved brother to Joan, respected uncle to the Lawrence boys and their families and brother in law to Trevor and Barbara Greasley.

We are extremely grateful to Dr Penny Holdaway and her team, the staff on ward one, St John, and the Cancer Society for their care of John over the past week and finally to Tony Sands and his staff and all our friends at Lochlea, thank you for your love and support and for being there for us during this difficult time.  At John’s request a private cremation has been held.

DAUBE, Shona Beryl: December 11, 2019

On December 11, 2019 passed away peacefully after a short illness, surrounded by her family. Dearly loved wife of Chris, cherished mother and mother in-law of Chris and Trudy and Bronwyn and Warren, adored grandmother of Jacob, Carlin, Stella and partners, Holly, Nathan, and Ryan and a loved aunty, cousin and friend of many. Mum would be upset if we didn’t include her loving and loyal companion of the four legged variety, Jackson. In lieu of flowers donations to Darfield Hospital would be greatly appreciated.At Shona’s request a private service was held outdoors in Darfield on Monday 16th December.
