On October 3, 2026, peacefully at Tuarangi Home, Ashburton, after “the long goodbye” with vascular dementia. Aged 76 years. Loved husband of Bernadette. Loving father of Caroline and partner Keir Leslie, and Vanessa and Daniel Saveski (UK). Loved brother-in-law of Rosemary, and Kevin Keane. Brother of Harry, Gerald (Perth), the late Jane, and the late John and uncle of their families. Sincere thanks to the staff of Tuarangi Home for their excellent care of Alistair over the last two years. Passed away at Rosebank Lifecare Ashburton, on Friday, 2nd October, 2026, aged 93. Dearly loved wife and soulmate of the late Arthur. Much-loved and respected mother and mother-in-law of John and Anneke, Elizabeth, Paul and Pam, Mark and Gayna. Loved and special Nana of Ella, Georgia and Richard. It is with deep sadness that we share the peaceful passing of our much-loved Dad on 23 September 2026 in the loving arms of his children. Dearly loved husband of the late Olwyn (Ollie) and adored Dad of Glenn, Lynda and Rochelle. Much loved and cherished Pop of all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Rosebank Lifecare and Dr Charlotte Cox for their care and compassion in Dad’s final journey. Family was the centre of Dad’s world, and he was the heart of ours. Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing how much he was loved and how many lives he touched. He has now found his way home to the love of his life – our Mum. A private service has been held.
