LOVETT Stuart James

– passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026 at Rosebank Lifecare, Ashburton, in his 96th year.  Much loved husband of the late Nola, and father and father in law of Andrea and Stan Taylor, Richard and Sue, Greg and Joanne, and Tim and Beth.  Adored Pop of his  9 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. SULLIVAN Helen Barbara –

on February 10, 2026. Peacefully at Ashburton Hospital, aged 71 years.  Dearly loved wife of Gary.  Much loved mother and mother in law of Mark and Diane, and Brent and Kylie.  Adored Nana of Liam, Millicent, and Harriett; and Ty, Jordyn, and Jarvys.  Messages to the Sullivan family, P O Box 472, Ashburton 7740. HUGGINS Phyllis Catherine-

on February 7, 2026, peacefully at Tuarangi Home, Ashburton, surrounded by her loving family, aged 86 years.  Dearly loved wife of the late Ian.  Much loved mother and mother in law of the late Graham, Leslie and Rhonda, Stuart and Joy, and Donald.  Special Nanny to all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Loved sister of Paddy (dec), Hazel(Dec), and Judith.  A special thank you to the staff at Tuarangi Home for their outstanding care of Phyllis.  Messages to the Huggins family, P O Box 472, Ashburton 7740.  A Memorial service to celebrate Phyllis’ life will be held at the Mt Somers Hall, Hoods Road, Mt Somers, on Thursday February 12, commencing at 2.00pm.

PROUTING Francis William “Frank”

27.01.1942 – 01.02.2026. Frank passed away peacefully at Nelson Hospital as a result of a stroke at the age of 84. He will be dearly missed by his 3 children, 4 grandchildren, large family and many friends. Frank will be remembered for his flying, mountain climbing, pop in visits around lunch time, and for his ability to make friends wherever his many adventures took him. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wakefield Homestead meals on wheels service and may be left at the service. Messages to the Prouting family, P O Box 472, Ashburton 7740. A service to celebrate Frank’s life will be held at Peel Forest Community Hall on Monday the 9th February 2026 commencing at 1.00pm. Friends are welcome to join the family for the burial to be held at Mesopotamia Cemetery on Tuesday the 10th of February 2026 at 9am.  May Franks last flight home be a peaceful one.

SHAW Paul Martin

Died peacefully on Monday January 26, 2026, at home surrounded by his family, aged 67 years. Dearly loved and cherished husband of Barbara, much loved and respected father and father in law of Katie and Brook Thorpe (Lincoln) James and Molly Shaw (Melbourne) and Victoria and Nick McIntosh (Auckland).  Adored Grandad of Amalie, Beau and Madeleine Thorpe, Harriet and Oliver Shaw, and Gargan of Harry McIntosh. Shore, Christopher Robert (Chris)

 Passed away peacefully at home on 26 January 2026, aged 83, with his beloved wife Sandra, his soulmate of 55 years, by his side. Much loved and cherished father of Mark, Nicky and Zoe, friend and father in law to Kelvin, and adored Grandad to Ollie, Josh, Max and Spencer. The Shore family sincerely thank all those who provided such incredible care, kindness and support to Chris and the family during this time. In accordance with Chris’s wishes, a private cremation has been held. A passionate farmer, respected horseman and devoted family man, Chris will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
