peacefully passed away at Radius Millstream, Ashburton on July 21, 2026, aged 87 years.  Dearly loved wife of Eric.  Loved mother and mother in law of Murray and Lynette, Graeme and Amanda, and Annette and Matthew Talbot.  Much loved Nan of Mathew and Caitlyn; Annabel and Timothy; Emily, Isabelle, and Victoria, and their partners. on July 19, 2026, passed away at Christchurch Hospital, aged 84 years. Dearly loved and treasured husband of Judith, and loved father and stepfather of Christopher, Hamish, Adrian, Brendon, Jarrod, Cameron, Hannah, and their partners. The funeral service for Eddie will be held at Trott’s Garden’s, 371 Racecourse Road on Monday July 27, commencing at 1.00pm, followed by interment at the Ashburton Seafield Lawn Cemetery.

“Big John” -25/6/1949 – 17/7/2026.  Big John died peacefully at Ashburton Hospital on 17 July, with his dearly loved wife, Dawn, by his side.
