CRUICKSHANK Jim (James) Alexander

On 8 August 2026, peacefully at Ashburton Hospital, aged 90 years. Dearly loved husband of Eleanor, loving father and father-in-law of Nicki and Greg, Paul, Brett and Lisa and Kathryn and Rob.  Loved Grandad of Sydney, Maddy, Clare, Jessica, Dallas, Ryan, Callum and Jack.  Loved brother of Gladys (deceased) and brother-in-law of Isabel and Peter (deceased) and uncle to his six nephews and nieces.   Thank you to all the various medical teams who helped Jim live a full life. FRIEND Karen Margaret (Aka Dawn)

passed away after a brave and courageous battle on Friday, 7 August, 2026, at Ashburton Hospital, surrounded by loving family and friends.  Loved partner of Avon, cherished daughter of Ian and Heather, sister and sister in law of Dave and Bern, Geoff and Karen.  Loved Aunty and treasured friend and colleague to many.  The family would like to sincerely thank medical/oncology/District Nursing staff for their care & support allowing Dawn to be able to stay at home as long as she could.  Messages to the Friend family, P O Box 472, Ashburton 7740.  In keeping with Dawn’s wishes a private cremation has been held. WILSON Sally Ann (née Greenwood)

passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on 3 August 2026, aged 59. She was a fighter to the very end of her battle with breast cancer. Sally was the dearly loved mum of Tom and Ella, adored partner of Ross, treasured daughter of Judy and Dave, cheeky sister of John, and a loyal friend to many. She had an extraordinary gift for making friends wherever she went. 12/06/1939 – 27/07/ 2026 -Fairlie peacefully passed in her daughter Susan’s arms, while in the care of Radius Millstream, Ashburton, her home for five years during her dementia journey. A loved daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. Remembered for her love of gardening and her beloved dogs. “She lived her life finding silver in the shadows and touching the gentle souls of animals”.
