at Rosebank Lifecare Ashburton, aged 78 years. Loved wife of Allan.  Much loved mother and mother in law of Lisa and Paul Atkinson, Dean and Sandra, and Jason and Gretchen. peacefully at Terrace View Retirement Village, Ashburton, surrounded by her loving family, aged 87 years.  Dearly loved wife of the late Neil.  Much loved mother and mother in law of Peter and Marie, and Nerilee (Nel) and Chris Davison.  Treasured Nana of Anna and Elliot, James and Brooke; Scott and Mel, Chanelle and Sam, and Nicole and Ben.  Loved great-Nana of Olivia, Hunter, Isaac, and Matilda.  Messages  to the Hampton family, No 8 RD, Ashburton 7778.  A service to celebrate Verna’s life will be held at St Stephen’s Anglican Church, Park Street, Ashburton on Thursday April 4, commencing at 1.30pm., followed by a private family interment.

JONES Katherine Sarah Orpah, on March 29, 2024

(DOB: 28/12/1965). Kate passed away peacefully at home on Friday 29 March 2024. Loved mother of Arlina, and Jackson, daughter of David and Pat Jones, partner of Bart.  Sister to Simon, Chris, Peter, Rhys and Jackie. Messages to Kate’s family, P O Box 472, Ashburton 7740. A celebration of Kate’s life will be held at St Mark’s Anglican Church, Elizabeth Avenue, Rakaia on Friday 5 April, commencing at 1.00pm, followed by interment at the Rakaia Cemetery. HARNETT Marie Terese, on March 19, 2024

peacefully in her sleep at Ashburton Hospital, aged 83 years.  Dearly loved wife of the late Tony. Loved mother and mother in law of Robert and Jane, Belinda and Joe and the late Randall, Jack and Helen, and Rebecca and Richie. Very much loved Nanny of Patrick, Felix, and Cleo; Hannah and Simon, and Joe and Chole; Brooke and Josh; Sinnead, Dominic, and Frano.  Great Nanny to William, and Maddie. O’NEILL Elizabeth Mary (Betty), on March 17, 2024

Peacefully at Rosebank Lifecare, Ashburton, aged 96 years. Loved wife of the late Eric. Much adored Mum and Mum in law of Jackie, Jill, James (dec), Lyn and Richard, Nick (dec) and Chris. GLANVILLE James Francis (Jim), on March 14, 2024

died at Ashburton Hospital.  Loving husband of the late Chrissie.  Loved father of Jamie-lee and grandfather of Georgia, and Thomas (Auckland).  Loved brother in law of Jan Wilson, and best mate of Kenny Johnston.  Loved brother of Robert, Murray, Marie, Elizabeth , Bruce, Lenny and Treena, and their families.  Loved and cherished friend to many.  Messages to Jim’s family, P O Box 472, Ashburton 7740.Special thanks to the Ashburton Hospital, and Coldstream for their care of Jim. Passed away peacefully at Terrace View Retirement Village, Ashburton, surrounded by her loving family. Dearly loved wife of the late John (Jack) Thomson and loved mother and mother in law of John and Lyn, Sally and David Brydie, Mark and Elspeth, and Willie and Hayley. Adored daughter of the late Margaret and Robert Swapp and loved sister of the late Eric Swapp and the late Margaret Blane. Adored Granny to all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A special mention to Terrace View Retirement Village staff, Tinwald Medical Centre and Dr Iain Melton (Christchurch Heart Group) for their wonderful care of Irene. A service to celebrate Irene’s life will be held in our Chapel cnr East and Cox Street, Ashburton on Thursday March 14 commencing at 1pm, followed by a private interment.

GIBSON Kiri (Wendy) On Saturday 9, 2024.

Passed away suddenly. Dearly loved wife of Lindsay. Mother and mother-in-law to Rangi and Geoff, Leigh and Heath, Nelle and Mark, and Kimberley and Alex. Treasured Nana of Reece, Connor, Jorja Leigh, Tipene, Ashlein, Maia, Holly, Cole, Willow, Lincoln, Emilio,  and Valentino, and great grandmother to Cassius.
