CAMPBELL  Allan Lawrence,

 passed away unexpectedly doing what he loved at the Model airfield on the 16th October 2025 aged 72 years. Loved Partner of Sheryl Reid. Father and father-in-law to Leanne Campbell & Dale, Toresa & Eamon Hooper, and Michael *. Grandfather and great grandfather to Stacey, Jack, Jamie, Leada & Kris and Neo. Cherished Friend of Dave Welsh, Dianne Pengelly, Chris & Tracey, Mark & Leeanne, Stuart & Jenna and their children and grandchildren. Messages to 80 Creek Road Ashburton 7700. GUNNING Marie Louise,

on October 28, 2025 at Princes Court Lifecare, aged 93 years.  Wife of the late Tom, and loved cousin of the late Gloria and Alex MacBrayne, and Marie and the late Jack Smolenski.  Dearly loved cousin of Judith and Trevor Freeman, Mark, Joanne and Jill, and families.  Messages to Marie’s family, P O Box 472, Ashburton 7740. KERR Robert (Bob)

on October 25, 2025, peacefully at Ashburton, aged 86 years.  Loved husband of Judy for 60 years. Loved father and father in law of Wayne and Margaret,(Ashburton), Sheryl and Robert (Temuka), and the late Carol Mary Kerr.  Grandfather of Carl (Perth), and Ty and Destany (Ashburton).  Son of the late Nellie and Andy Kerr (Waimangaroa). Loved brother of Albert (dec) and Nola Oldham (ChCh), Brian (Starry) (dec) and Loraine (Westport), and Denis and Claire (dec) (Westport) and all his nieces and nephews.  Messages to the Kerr family, P O Box 472, Ashburton.  A gathering for family and friends to celebrate Bob’s life will be held at Paterson’s Funeral Services, cnr East & Cox Streets, Ashburton on Saturday November 8, commencing at 2.00pm.

WEAVER Yvonne Beatrice

on October 22, 2025, peacefully at Ashburton Hospital surrounded by family, in her 92nd year. Much loved wife of the late Cros. Loved Mum and mother in law of Wayne and Linda, Gary and Pauline, and Lynne and Stuart. Will be missed by all her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchild. According to Yvonne’s wishes a private cremation has taken place.

SVENSSON Thomas Charles (Tom)

on October 21, 2025, peacefully at home, Ashburton, with Wita by his side. STUART Allan George

on October 20, 2025 at Ashburton Hospital surrounded by family, aged 75 years. Much loved husband of Lyn. Loved and appreciated Dad and father in law of Mark and Samahdi, and Grant. A celebration of Allan’s life will be held in our chapel cnr Cox and East Streets on Tuesday October 28, 2025, commencing at 2:00pm followed by a private cremation at the Ashburton Crematorium.

CARR Raymond Leo (Ray),

on October 20, 2025, peacefully at Ashburton Hospital, aged 81 years.  Dearly loved husband of Cath.  Much loved father and father in law of Aaron and Jenny, Reuben and Hayley, and Joanna and Peter.  Loved Grandad of India, and Cory Mitchell; Layton, and Jacob, and great-Grandad of Kiara Mitchell.  Messages to the Carr family, P O Box 472, Ashburton 7740. A special thank you to the amazing staff at Ward 1, Ashburton Hospital for their care and respect of Ray.                   A Memorial service to celebrate Ray’s life will be held at the Ashburton RSA, Cox Street, Ashburton on Saturday November 15, commencing at 1.00pm.

 SUTTON Leonard James (Always Len)

of Rakaia (Formerly Avonside), on October 12, 2025, peacefully at Ashburton Hospital, aged 88 years. Len was a loved father of Suzanne Sutton-Cummings, Philip, Warwick, and Graeme Sutton.  Len was a treasured husband and best friend of Colleen. He was an appreciated and well liked step-father ‘Len’ of Philippa (Pip), Bronwyn, Cameron, Fleur, Euan, and Duncan, and their partners. A precious Poppie, Grandad and great-Grandad to his blended family.  Heartfelt thanks to Dr Sue Fowlie and her staff at the Rakaia Medical Centre, to the Rakaia Fire Brigade volunteers, the St John Ambulance and Ashburton Hospital.  Thanks also to the District nurses and Healthcare support and the Oncology Dept., Christchurch Hospital.  The family are enormously grateful for all the support and empathy shown. Len fought a good fight. He has put down his tools for the last time and the shed is silent.  A private funeral will be held.

WELLS Jean Winifred,

passed away peacefully at Rosebank Lifecare on 12th October 2025 aged 90.   Loved wife of Devon, Ma & mother-in-law of Albert, Barry & Michelle, Colin, and Tom & Linda.  Loved sister, Grandma & great- Grandma. Messages to the Wells family, P O Box 472, Ashburton 7740.  Special thanks to the staff of Rosebank Lifecare for their care and compassion in Jean’s final days. A Memorial service for Jean will be held at the Baring Square Methodist Church, Ashburton on Thursday 23 October, commencing at 2.00pm.
