Died peacefully on Monday January 26, 2026, at home surrounded by his family, aged 67 years. Dearly loved and cherished husband of Barbara, much loved and respected father and father in law of Katie and Brook Thorpe (Lincoln) James and Molly Shaw (Melbourne) and Victoria and Nick McIntosh (Auckland).  Adored Grandad of Amalie, Beau and Madeleine Thorpe, Harriet and Oliver Shaw, and Gargan of Harry McIntosh.
