Passed away peacefully at Ashburton Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, aged 93 years. Dearly loved husband of Joy. Much loved father and father in law of Jill and Jason (Auckland), Richard and Fran (Norwood), Wendy and Terry (Ashburton), and Brian and Cheryl (Auckland). Loved Pa of Sophie and Sam, Kaitlin and Ian, Shannon and Jerry, Liam, and Jared, and loved Pa to his great granddaughters Ruby, Ollie, and Chloe. A service to celebrate Des’ life will be held at Our Chapel, cnr East & Cox Streets, Ashburton on Thursday December 30, commencing at 1.00pm, followed by interment at the Seafield Lawn Cemetery, Seafield Road, Ashburton.
